ALABAMA SHAKES - BOYS & GIRLS + FREE POSTCARD
Rough Trade will be releasing Alabama Shakes's highly anticipated debut album, 'Boys & Girls', on April 9, 2012.
The album was recorded at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville, TN.
Produced and mixed by the band, it's a vibrant fusion of swampy dirty South rock, blues and soul delivered with punk rock fervor.
The first run of 'Boys & Girls' LPs will include a free 7" with previously unreleased tracks 'Heavy Chevy', 'Pocket Change' and 'Mama'. All LPs will include a download code.
Alabama Shakes will be playing their first UK shows in February at the Boston Arms in London.
White Stripes' first London gigs were at the same venue, so they're in good company.
Jack White is also a fan, having previously released a limited 7" on his Third Man label.
The FIRST 50 PEOPLE who pre-order the album on any format will receive a postcard from Alabama chosen by the band with a specially written message.
